Barry C. Williams - Consultant- Cherry Hill, NJ
Barry Williams is highly experienced executive with over 15 years of senior management positions with focus on sales and marketing.
Mr. Williams has served in senior executive positions in the computer industry with major manufacturers of hardware and software products. He has an excellent track record of managing large field sales organizations and is highly skilled in team building, program development and strategic planning.
Mr. Williams has served as Director for the New Jersey/Pharmaceutical Region in the Northeast market at Sun Microsystems with annual sales of over $150 million. In previous positions, Mr. Williams served as the Director of Channel Sales in the Northeast Market Area and was responsible for creating over $600 million in annual revenue. In another position as the Director, Channel Development Providers, Mr. Williams was responsible for annual revenues of over $4 billion.
Prior to joining Sun Microsystems, Mr. Williams held several high-level management positions at Okidata. As Vice President for Field Sales, Mr. Williams was responsible for managing a national field sales force that generated over $400 million in annual revenue for the Printer Division. As Vice President for Reseller Sales, he managed a national sales force that achieved annual revenues exceeding $200 million.
As an entrepreneur, he started Black Health Solutions, a company focused on providing the African American community access to information on health related topics, access to products and services for the community and sales of a full line of vitamin and nutri-ceutical products.
He currently is the President of Up-Country International Products, Inc., the exclusive importer of Sweet Unity Farms Coffee from Africa. Mr. Williams is responsible for outstanding growth for the past three years and developing strategic relationships for UCI with Wolfgang Puck Estate Coffees and Deloitte and Touche, LLC.
Mr. Williams has trained groups on Personal Brand, The Challenges of Leadership, and Interview Skills leveraging his experience and knowledge to bring forth leading edge ideas and practices to diverse groups including the Jackie Robinson Foundation, Sun Microsystems, Junior ROTC of Burlington County, NJ to name a few.
Mr. Williams has always had an interest in contributing to his community. He has served in many volunteer positions including Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the National Capitol Region of Washington DC, a member of the NAACP, mentor to African American students and professionals, and serving the community in many other capacities.
He is also the Vice Chairperson of the Burlington County College Foundation Board.
Mr. Williams is married and has one daughter. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Administrative Office Management from the College of New Jersey.
